(1) Our ability to communicate cosmically could be wiped out by a Solar Mass Ejection, at least temporarily. Maybe a global project to protect our precious computers would help to unify us against nuclear weapons (which can have the same impact on major countries).

(2) Pavel Podvig has argued* that the time has come to set back the Doomsday Clock, pointing to the stance the G20 took, first in Bali (2022) and then again in Delhi (2023), that, "The use or threat of use of nuclear weapons is inadmissible." Let it be so.
