A couple of decades ago, I discovered (for myself, I doubt that no one else ever found it before) that one can fill 3D space with a pair of 3D rhombi. Indeed, if one makes a unit of the pair one can make a spherical shape that is the “merger” of a dodecahedron and a icosohedron (I don’t remember the technical name for it).
