By definition, "Eden" is wherever and whenever language arose at the biting of the apple. If knowledge is defined as recountable experience, then "words" (or more accurately sentences -- the Swedish word for which is "mening") are the foundation of knowledge. I put "words" in parentheses because I am thinking of Helen Keller, who was unable to remember any experience prior to learning how to feel hand-sign language. A digital language one might say!
