First a modest proposal. Stop using the term "savages"; instead use the term "barbarians". Civilized combatants do not target nor expose to lethal danger noncombatants. Barbarians run amok. Al Qassam fighters behaved liked barabrians on October 7th, and would likely do the same if given the opportunity. The IDF is behaving barbarously when it fires unguided/wide-area explosives at densely populated areas.

"Savages" is what colonialists/imperialists called the indigenous peoples when they did not submissively embrace the "superior" ways of the colonialists/imperialists. Its widespread use was often followed by ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, and other horrors by the "civilized" colonialist/imperialist.
