It would be nice, if it were true. Orbin is playing the long game. Ukraine ultimately needs Hungary's acquiescence to become an EU neighbor. Accepting the bride in no way weakened his hand. Yes, he might ultimately take the remaining funds in exchange for support of Ukranian membership, but then again, he might not. It might take a stick as well as a carrot to drive him on the right path.

Keep in mind, Ukraine could cut of the flow of RUssian oil to Hungary in the blink of an eye.
