"The devil made me do it!" is no excuse. It is an abdication of agency and responsibility.

Israel should have not bomb and invaded until it had a plan to provide for the welfare the noncombatant poppulation of Gaza. If there had been good field hospitals the Gazans could go to, then the hospitals covering Al Qassam tunnels could have been attacked without civilian casualies.

If it is true that Al Qassam brigades stockpiled food in their tunnels, then their cynicism is legion and this need to be thoroughly exposed. They expected food shortages for the general population, but went ahead (in secrecy) anyway.
