But more to the point, this piece was written a decade after the introduction of DU shells and it acknowledges that not all the necessary information is available yet. Clearly, the Precautionary Principle has not been applied.
I found this sentence particularly revealing: "Furthermore, it is also clear that the highly-praised superiority of these weapons will only last as long as the opponent does not have them available too." Indeed. Perhaps that is why the victims are protesting, no?
