Why can't these aliens, after managing to travel umpteen lightyears, not manage a soft landing?? You show our wreckage on Mars, but we have managed soft landings there. And why did that inter-galactic object pass through our solar system with out so much as a, "Hello!"??

Why are they so incompetent and rude? Have they had unpleasant encounters in other solar systems? Have they pigeon-holed us as a "civilization" to be shunned?
